Starting fall 2017 we will offer a De Portola after school program. This program has limited space and only operates after school. Please read the following FAQ and contact us anytime with questions. To register click here. In order to secure your space you need to pay for the months attendance. Payments are non refundable.

Q. How much does it cost ?
We charge $285 for 1 months attendance. If you have a child enrolled in our elementary school program we charge $215 per month. There is an additional $25 fee during months when the school has an additional half day besides the regularly scheduled Thursday.

Q. I have 2 children that attend De Portola, is there a sibling discount ?
Yes we charge $525 for 2 siblings that attend De Portola together.

Q. How do participants get to your program?
We have staff on site at De Portola when the dismissal bell rings. Participants are checked in daily on site at De Portola before walking to our indoor facility located at the Tierrasanta Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Q. What if my child does not check in?
You will be notified if your child has not checked in after the bell rings. The school will be notified and your child’s classrooms will be checked. If your child still has not checked in or been found school police will be notified.

Q. Do you provide an environment for them to study or get help with homework?
Yes. We have an extended homework period with staff supervising to help participants stay on task.

Q. Is there an opportunity for my child to participate in organized sports or structured activities ?
Yes. We have a 45 minute period where participants can participate in outdoor activities.

Q. What is the latest I can pick up my child from your program ?
We close at 6:15 pm. All participants need to be picked up no later than 6:15 pm

Q. Can I pick up my child earlier than 6:15 pm ?
Yes. You can pick up as early as you like.

Q. If my child does not attend is there a discount?
No. The monthly fee is due regardless of your child’s attendance.

Q. Are you open on school holidays or vacations?
Not at this time.

Q. What payment options are available ?
Cash, check, or credit card. Credit cards are charged a 3.5 % processing fee plus .30

Q. When is payment due?
Payment is due on or before the 1st of each month. If your payment has not been received by the first of the month with no prior arrangements then your child will not be picked up. If you have a child that attends our elementary school program, payment for both children is due on or before the 15th of each month.
