A Place to Grow:  Consistent, Caring After-School Support

for TK-5th Grade since 1980!

For growing families and working parents, consistency isn’t just convenient—it’s critical. From Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade, children need more than supervision. They need a space that is emotionally safe, socially enriching, and predictably supportive—year after year.

For over 45 years, our after-school program has provided just that: value that goes beyond childcare. We’ve been a steady, trusted presence in the lives of families, creating a place where children grow, connect, and belong—and where parents feel confident, informed, and supported.

Explore the questions every parent should ask—and how our program continues to stand apart:

Is long-term consistency and security a priority for your family?
With us, your child’s space is secured from the time of enrollment through the entire school year—and you’re welcome to return year after year. Whether your child joins in TK or 3rd grade, you’ll have the option to stay through 5th grade, offering your family stability and continuity you can build your schedule around.

In many state-funded or district-mandated programs, space is not guaranteed. Annual reapplication, limited availability, and changing program structures can make planning uncertain—especially for working parents who need dependable care.

Do you want your child surrounded by consistent, caring adults they can build real relationships with?
Our dedicated staff remain at the same location throughout the year, forming deep, trusting relationships with the children in their care. This consistency fosters emotional security, confidence, and strong mentorship. Many of our team members have served families in our community for decades—a testament to our commitment and long-standing value.

In many district-operated programs, staffing changes frequently due to rotations, budgets, or site needs. This makes it hard for kids to build lasting relationships and can leave them feeling unsettled or unsupported.

How much individual attention and supervision will your child receive?
We proudly maintain a 1:10 adult-to-child ratio, allowing for meaningful interactions, closer supervision, and individualized support. This enables staff to be proactive, responsive, and emotionally present with each child throughout the day.

Many state-funded programs operate with ratios as high as 1:20, making it difficult for staff to notice subtle challenges or provide the attention each child may need.

Is your child’s after-school time an opportunity for enrichment—or just extended supervision?
We offer a diverse range of counselor-led indoor and outdoor activities every day—tailored to spark creativity, teamwork, exploration, athletic development and fun. From art and sports to team-building games and leadership exercises, children choose how they participate, with supportive encouragement from our staff.

Many larger district programs are structured around minimum supervision and rigid participation models, which may limit opportunities for creative play, choice, or deeper engagement. In some instances participation is mandatory despite your child’s level of willingness to engage.

Is emotional safety and social-emotional growth a priority in your family?
We don’t just supervise—we teach, support, and model. Our staff are trained in relational care, child development, and trauma-informed practices. We help children develop resilience, navigate peer conflict, and build social skills in a calm, affirming environment.

Some larger programs lack the structure or training to consistently guide children through their emotional and social development—especially during challenging moments.

Do you want real communication and partnership from your child’s care team?
You’ll always know who is caring for your child—and how they’re doing. We prioritize clear, compassionate communication with parents, including informal updates, approachable staff, and real-time responsiveness when questions or concerns arise.

In programs with higher turnover or larger ratios, families often feel disconnected or left out of the loop. It can be hard to know what’s happening or who to turn to with questions.

Do you want your child to feel like they belong—not just attend?
Our program is community-driven and child-centered. We see each child as a unique individual and strive to create a space where they feel emotionally safe, socially connected, and free to connect and engage. Many of our students remain with us year after year—some even return later as counselors or mentors.

In programs built for compliance or enrollment volume, a sense of individual connection and community can get lost. Children may not feel known, heard, or understood.

Why Families Chose Us – and Stay With Us!

For more than 45 years, we’ve provided more than just after-school care—we’ve provided value, peace of mind, and meaningful connection to families in our community.

We know what working parents need. We know what children need. And we’ve built a program that honors both—with consistency, creativity, and care that lasts.
