Cub’s General Information
Johnny B’s Inc. offers a year round day camp program that is accredited by the American Camp Association. For information on accreditation through the ACA, click here. All of our staff members must complete a background check before hire, and hold current certification in American Red Cross CPR and First Aid. Our staff are specially trained to assist with distance learning as well as lead and supervise a variety of games and activities in a safe manner for school age children.
Our Cubs after school program is designed to accommodate participants in transitional kindergarten and up to second grade. Our staff is on site at TES VG and Kumeyaay elementary before the bell dismisses. Upon dismissal our staff accounts for all Johnny B’s participants on each school’s campus. Our staff escorts all participants to the school bus where they board, ride, and depart with our staff. Once our bus route is done we begin the day at camp with a variety of recreational activities. Participants have many activity options that encourage athletic coordination, social skills, team building, creativity, communication skills and self awareness. Each child has the opportunity to choose from a number of counselor led activity options as we begin and develop the day at camp. We provide a snack at approximately 3:30 and then we begin our homework help time. For all participants that have homework we offer a counselor assisted quiet time to focus on any homework or reading material Monday through Friday. On minimum days we provide additional fun activities such as edible art projects, opportunities for drama, live animal educational presentations, nature hikes and field trips all around San Diego. Cubs Program Payment Policy
We require a non refundable deposit that goes towards the last 2 weeks of attendance. Payment is due on the 10th of every month. There will be a $25.00 late fee for monthly payments received after the 10th.
Our preferred method of payment is online but we also accept credit cards and cash. Credit cards have 3.5% processing fee via Square. Click here to pay now.
Refunds
Johnny B’s Inc. does not issue refunds. We do issue credit towards attendance on a case by case basis.
