JBI Cubs After School

General Information

Johnny B’s Inc. offers a year round day camp program that is accredited by the American Camp Association. For information on accreditation through the ACA, click here. All of our staff members must complete a background check before hire, and hold current certification in American Red Cross CPR and First Aid. Our staff are specially trained to lead and supervise a variety of games and activities in a safe manner, for school age children.

Our after school Cubs program is ideal for participants that are going into transitional kindergarten up to 2nd grade. Our enrollment capacity is 36 participants supervised by our 4 passionate Activities Leaders. Each day is structured with opportunities for children to participate in activities that develop positive social skills, athletic coordination, and an awareness of nature. We use daily activity rotations so that participants can experience a wide range of sports and outdoor games, gardening, arts and crafts, cooking projects and team building activities. Academics are important to us and we believe that getting kids started early with healthy reading and writing habits has a big impact on their attitude towards homework and study time as they develop. We offer a separate homework classroom so that our participants can focus on those habits with help from our staff every day. Cubs After School Program Hours of Operation

Our after school program begins the moment the bell rings. Our staff is in place at each school to meet campers as they arrive at our designated meeting place on school grounds. Kindergartners are signed out by a staff member accordingly. Our activity rotations begin at approximately 2:30 pm, snack is at approximately 3:30 pm after which we transition into our indoor facility at 4:00 pm.

Johnny B’s closes at 6:15 pm. If your child has not been picked up by 6:15 pm a late fee of $5.00 (cash) for every 10 minutes is due and payable to the staff member at the time your child is picked up. If you are consistently late picking your child up from Johnny B’s your child may lose the space in our program.

After School Program Payment Policy

Payment for your child’s first week of attendance is due prior to their start date. Payment for the entire month is due by the 15th of each month. There will be a $25.00 late fee for monthly payments received after the 15th. If your payment has not been received by the 19th of the month, your child will not be picked up from school and will not be allowed to attend Johnny B’s Day Camp until the monthly payment and late fee have been paid in full.
